As you can see, I've brought a brand new toy with me on my Adventures. I've had my eye out for this hoping that it would eventually be available over in the UK and finally, courtesy of Amazon.co.uk, it was!
What am I talking about? I'm talking about a very nifty, small compact Video Camera called the Flip Video - it's capable of filming a full hour of Video before requiring downloading, and it plugs straight into your Laptop or Desktop via the handy little flip out USB connector. It runs just on 2 AA batteries (I'm probably going to get rechargeable batteries for it at some point)
So now I'll be able to share some Travel-logs, and maybe some 'How to's' in the future (Ha - that's if I can ever get back to crafting!) The quality of the video and sound is actually very good, and several reviews I have read about the Flip Video product have said that the quality compares astonishingly well to other far more expensive Video Cameras.
Anyway, to test it out, I made a very short video of the hotel where I am staying. Isn't it scary when you get to hear yourself speak? I sound a bit posh - which is worrying! LOL. When I filmed around the pool, there were flocks of bright, green parakeets flying around. You can hear them in the background, but unfortunately because it was dusk, you can't actually see them in the video.
Now for the competition: all you need to do, is come up with a suitable name for my dining companion at the end of the video and leave a comment on this post. I will choose the name I like best and will send the winner a little something from India when I return to the UK at the end of November. Good Luck!
