Not my usual style, but I needed to make a quick Thank You card. As you are probably aware, I don't DO 'quick'. This is because I enjoy the creative process and so the making is as much fun as the finished product for me. However, this quick card did enable me to use one of my new stamps from the Hero Arts 2007 collection (yes, I succumbed, so much for restraint!) What I particularly liked about doing this card was stamping in light ink on dark cardstock. Finally I have managed to find a light ink that actually works! It's Versamagic in Magnolia Bud.
Stamps: Hero Arts (Large Flower print and sentiment), Stampington (Geisha) Hanko Designs (Scattered Sakura flowers)
Inks: Distress Inks in Old Paper and Antique Linen. Colorbox Chalk inks in Dark Brown & Burnt Sienna. Versamagic in Magnolia Bud and Staz-On in Timber Brown
H2O's: a light washing of Golden Monarch and Spiced Pumpkin
Embellishments: Chocolate ribbon, Coral Prima Flower and a Gold brad.
Oh, and by the way, I quite liked my invention of the sentiment 'banner' so I made a Card sketch. I have decided that I quite like designing Card Sketches, although, I did create the sketch AFTER the card! Feel free to use this if you want to:
