Free Vintage Images

I bid for a set of three Vintage French Postcards on E-Bay and won them for the princely sum of £3 (including postage!). I find the backs as equally fascinating as the fronts, as the writing on two of them is quite pretty. I wish I could read the dates on the Postmarks though! I'd love to know how old these Postcards are!

Free Paper Download - Indian Summer

Bombay Emerald

As you can probably tell, I've discovered a new toy. A PDF maker to be precise! I've had it for a while but haven't been able to work out how to make it to work until last night with the Photoframe template. Anyway, I thought it might be kind of cool to turn some of my handstamped and inked background papers into files that can be printed off.

Bombay Amethyst

I've designed them to be Landscape, because there seems to be a movement recently that believes you can get more out of a Landscape print than a Portrait print. The purple ones are actually a computer effect (Solarization) that flips the colours to their opposites in the Spectrum. so effectively, they are still the yellow and turquoise papers but reversed.

   

Goan Stripe - Emerald

I have printed them off and they are extremely close to the original colours (yes they really ARE that bright, you know what a sucker for colour I am!) and the computerised purple designs are GORGEOUS printed and do not look computerised. I'm dying to make something out of them because they actually look more Indian than the Turquoise papers!

Photoframe Project

Whilst out shopping several weeks ago, I came across some very cute folding photoframes for sale. They were about £5 and when I examined them I realised that I could probably make some myself to give as gifts. I spent several minutes analysing and memorising how they had been put together and I resolved that when I got back home that I would try to make my own.

Measurements were going to be the trickiest part, plus I'm not very good at accurate measuring and drawing straight lines, even with a ruler for assistance! I decided to see if I could draw the template on the computer somehow. In the end, by using a combination of Powerpoint, converting it to a Word document and then converting it again to a PDF file, I had success! I am pleased to be able to share this template with you for download, it's already been test driven too, so I know that it works because I tried it myself! Full Instructions are included in the download.

You'll pleased to know that this is to scale and that the template works on A4 Card and only requires 1 single sheet of A4 patterned paper to cover it. I hope that you enjoy using this template!
