My Non-Sequitur Gallery It's taken me a while, but finally I managed to have three cards published on the Non-Sequitur website. I'm thrilled to be included with such talent as Mark Rosenboom, Sija Teigeler, Hannamaija Teisko and of course my all time favourite stamp artist - Melissa Hatalsky
Famous in France! On Monday 24th July 2006 I was featured on the French website called 'Best of Scrap' - not bad for a non-Scrapbooker!
Sulea Lee Known for her scenic stamping, but actually her paintings and collage are even better!
b-muse Zine Super cool site with masses of luxurious inspiration! Yum!
Jane Crowther A site called 'Bug Art' may not appear to be immediately inspiring, but Jane's work in the world of Greeting Card Design is perfect Brayergirl fodder....
Catalina Estrada A wonderful Colombian Artist. Take a few minutes to check out her work, you won't be disappointed!
Try it Tuesdays Yes there do seem to be a lot of these cropping up now, but this one is definitely worth looking at. This Inspiration site is a little different in that you get to try a new technique (and you know I'm a sucker for those...) following descriptions given when the technique for each week is posted. When you've created your piece of Art, you post your picture and you could then win a prize!
My Colour Challenges on 2Ps This is where I post my weekly colour challenges on the 2Ps Gallery and Message Board
Oh My That's Awesome The perfect website for Shopaholics (errr... that would be me then, right?) If you don't mind the occasional bit of foul language, this is a positive cornucopia of gorgeous things to buy. Pity that shop that sells the gorgeous oriental teaset doesn't ship abroad........ :o)
Kimberly Kwan Even if this weren't an Arty blog, it would be worth reading just for the hilarious exploits of Kim's PIL (that's Psycho-in-Law, to you and me!)
il Bloggo Hanna lives in Sweden. Check out her pretty blog written in English where she features all her handmade toys, her beautiful Swedish lifestyle, and gorgeous cat Smilla. If you understand Swedish, you can also read her Book reviews in 'Hanna's Bibliotek' (Hanna's Library - bet you didn't know that I could read a little Swedish!)
Audrey Hernandez Audrey is well known (and well published!) for her vintage pieces of work. I am proud to say that Audrey has recently started visiting my blog, so the very least I can do is link mine back to hers! Lovely work!
LiannaLlama Another 2Ps buddy - Lianne also belongs to Our Front Porch like I do. I actually met Lianne's FIL when I was working in Budapest.
The Altered Diva Another 2Ps member who's work I greatly admire! I LOVE the colours that she uses!
Babsarella Babsarella is another member of 2Ps who specialises in Collage art. She does some really cool stuff!
I've made the Blogoversary Blog Candy Postcard for the winner, Carol. I took inspiration from the theme over at Wednesday Stamper for this week which is 'Purple'.
This was a real labour of love! I started it on Saturday by covering a plain box, (which I bought in a Hungarian craft shop - I bought several as they are so cheap there compared to here in the UK), both inside and out with some lovely papers by K & Co. Then the fun began! I started to create Garden scenes all over the box. Guess what? Once again it fits the Wednesday Stamper theme this week which is 'In my Garden'
I had intended to do this in time for Mother's Day, but as I was sick, I never got round to it. I wanted to decorate the box to fill with some lovely Bulgarian Rose scented goodies which I bought on one of my work trips to Bulgaria. In case you didn't know, Bulgaria is famous for growing premium quality Damascene Roses for the Perfume industry. If your expensive perfume contains Rose oil in the ingredients, the chances are that the roses for the oil came from Bulgaria.
Stamps: Woodware (Butterfly, Rabbit and small flowers) Magnolia Stamps (all other stamps)
Inks: Staz-On in Timber Brown and Colorbox Chalk ink in Ice Jade
I loved making this one, and it came together really quickly! It's another one of my Postcards which I will actually be sending to Catherine Moore, creator of the Character Constructions stamp line. She's sent me a couple of free stamp sets now, and I still haven't thanked her properly so this is by way of a 'Thank you'.
The theme this week over at Wednesday Stamper is Stars, so my theatrical themed postcard fitted the brief. I made up a batch of Postcard backgrounds last night. This was one of three that I made up. They all have backgrounds that will complement the Character Constructions 'Queen of Tarts' stamps, so that's one down and two to go...
Good timing again with this week's Wednesday Stamper as the theme is 'Bookmark'. Remember 'Pay it Forward'? Well I intended to make bookmarks for the three people who signed up for a gift on my website, and this is the first of the three Bookmarks I am making. As you can see, it's easy to tell who this one is for!!!
I didn't manage to finish this in time for last week's Wednesday Stamper . The theme was 'Growing Old' and basically I decided on the theme of Little Red Riding Hood as soon as I came across this image of an old lady wearing a red scarf over her head. As it turns out, the more I think about it, the more allegorical this ATC becomes. By having 'Little Red Riding Hood' be an old lady rather than a little girl, all sorts of imagery comes to mind - the phrase 'Keeping the Wolf from the Door' for example could indicate the elderly's struggle to survive on their pensions, or the red wolf itself could also symbolise death creeping up on the old lady.
I wish I could say that I planned it that way, but I'd be lying! However, it has given me some new ideas for a whole series of ATC's based on Fairy Stories with a Modern moral twist, after all, isn't that what Fairy Stories were always about?
Not much stamping in this one, just the background which features leaves in various shades of green and black to represent the forest.
Here's my entry for this weeks Wednesday Stamper where the theme is 'Moo Cards'. These little cards are 2.8cm X 7cm in size so are quite a bit bigger than inchies, and therefore a lot easier to work with. I think I will be making more of these!
Stamps: Character Constructions (all the ladies) & Tanda Stamps (the 'Beyond' Alphabet which was made especially for me by my good friends at Tanda, but you can now buy it from their on-line shop too!)
Inks: Ranger Black Archival ink, and Versacolor in Olive (for edging)
Colour Media: H2O's in Kiwi, Bolivian Blue & Periwinkle, Watercolour pencils and Cumberland Artist Coloured pencils.
No, your eyes do not deceive you, I have been making Easter cards this weekend! In true Magazine publishing form, Art calls seem to be almost a year in advance, so I have been duly preparing some Easter and Spring cards for submission. The great news is that these cards also meet the Wednesday Stamper challenge this week as the theme is EGGS! :o) Yet another coincidence! The card above is new, the card below is a re-make of the one I made at Easter this year for my Mum. There are a couple of differences though, I wonder if you can spot what they are! :o)
EASTER TREATS
Stamps: Hero Arts (Birds) Purple Onion Designs ( Flower sprig) Aud Design (Leaves and tiny flowers) Tanda Stamps (Grass) & Green Pepper Press (Eggs)

Other Items: Coloured Pencils, White Gel Pen & Yellow Ribbon
For Instructions and materials for the Happy Easter Card, please refer back to the entry on April 5th
I fancied doing some more collage work for this weeks Wednesday Stamper especially as the theme is flowers. For this one, I also decoupaged some of the stamped images to add some dimension and I coloured the images using the Magic Coloured Pencil technique
Stamps: 100 Proof Press ( Girl, Tulips, Bunch of flowers, Fern and Letters for the word Flower) Purple Onion Design ( Frame) Hero Arts (Letters and Numbers) Aud Design (Tiny Tag)
Inks: Ranger Black Archival Ink, Colorbox Chalk in Dark Brown
